You have to nail something at a weird angle, and it’s difficult to hold the nail in place while you hammer (or you hit your finger more often than the nail).

Here’s what to do…

The answer to the problem is a strip of clay (available at crafts and toy stores or in your kid’s or grandchild’s play chest). Stick the clay on the wall, and let it hold the nail for you.

Once you’ve nailed the job (as in, you’ve hammered in the nail far enough so that it’s steady), peel off the clay.
