If you are on high blood pressure medications, you might want to take your pills at night rather than in the morning. In a study, doing that improved all-day blood pressure control and reduced the risk of developing diabetes by 57%. Possible reason: Bedtime meds lead to a more normal nighttime “dip” in the hormone angiotensin, which affects both blood pressure and blood sugar.
