Breathing is essential to life, yet people with asthma struggle to breathe every day. Bill Gottlieb, America’s #1 natural health coach and author of Bottom Line’s Speed Healing, discusses breathing techniques that can ease asthma and help people breathe easier. Establish a rhythm of breathing, and coordinate the breath with the heartbeat by practicing this simple technique twice a day for 10 to 15 minutes. Simply sit down with one hand pressed against the stomach while you use the thumb on your other hand to take your pulse as illustrated in the video. Breathe in through your nose for a pulse count of 5 and then exhale out of your mouth for a count of 7. Be sure to blow out through pursed lips. This will ease an asthma attack as well as strengthen the lungs to prevent future attacks.
