It’s fun to see nutrition become mainstream medicine and get covered in The Wall Street Journal.

That’s what’s happened with lutein and zeaxanthin…two yellow/orange nutrients found in leafy greens and eggs that in supplement form—along with other eye-protective nutrients—help prevent eyesight-robbing macular degeneration in people at high risk of developing it and slow it in people who already have the disease.

We covered the developing story in 2007, 2009, again in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

What the Journal didn’t mention and we did early in 2015 is that some of the eye-protective supplements on the market don’t actually include the nutrition formulation proven to protect your eyes. Take a look at Bottom Line’s Save Your Sight from Macular Degeneration While Avoiding an Eye-Vitamin ‘Rip-Off’.” It’s an eye opener.
