Cure Hiccups in 3 Breaths

0

You can never have enough hiccup cures under your belt. Here’s another one for your repertoire…

First, take the deepest breath you can and hold it for 10 seconds. Second, without exhaling, breathe in again and hold for five more seconds. Third, take in a little more air and hold it for another five seconds. Then breathe normally. This exercise calms the diaphragm, helping to stop the spasms that cause hiccups.

Thanks to Luc Morris, MD, surgical oncologist, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, for help with this tip. Quoted in Woman’s Day.
