Do you have some joint pain? It could be a cranky elbow or achy knee due to a strain or minor arthritis. For a natural remedy, here’s what to do…

Mix one tablespoon of unfiltered apple cider vinegar (available at health-food stores) in an eight-ounce glass of water, and drink it two or three times a day. Give it a fair chance to work—at least a week or so.

Arthritis pain is partially caused by metabolic waste that is stored in connective tissues. The pectin, acetic acid and malic acid in apple cider vinegar help absorb toxins and flush them out of the body. These elements also promote proper digestion and the absorption of nutrients essential to healthy joints. Some natural healers also believe that it dissolves the uric acid deposits that crystalize between joints, but we know of no scientific studies to prove that. Please remember that apple cider vinegar will help relieve occasional joint pain or arthritic flare-ups. It is not a miracle cure.

Also remember, too, that apple cider vinegar is highly acidic. We advise that you do not take more than the above dosage each day, because too much can cause gastritis or heartburn. Always dilute it—straight vinegar can erode teeth enamel over time. (As an extra precaution, you can rinse your mouth out immediately after taking your vinegar elixir.)
