Here’s something we’ve tried on really tough stains and it’s worked two out of three times. Denture cleanser! It promises to dissolve tough stains. True, they don’t necessarily mean food stains on clothing. But if you like those odds and you have a stained garment, it’s worth a shot! Get a clean container such as a plastic bucket or plastic shoebox, fill it with warm water and drop in 2 or 3 denture cleansing tablets. Leave the garment soaking for about 15 minutes—the same amount of time recommended for soaking dentures. When the time is up, launder as usual.
