If you are finalizing your sweater-storage solutions, here’s a way to keep winter wear smelling nice and free from moths.

To repel moths when storing clothes, use whole cloves (the kind used when making a citrus pomade or preparing ham). Crush them lightly. Then put a handful of the slightly crushed cloves in the foot section of an old pantyhose leg or thin (hole-free) sock, and tuck them in with your winter woolens. They will serve the same repellent purpose as efficiently as mothballs but smell much better.
