Here’s another nonbleach way to get your whites whiter…and help dissolve away sweat stains…

Dissolve five adult aspirin tablets (325 milligrams each) in a basin of hot water, and soak your white clothes in it. When you’re ready to do the wash, pour the contents of the basin in the washing machine—the clothes along with the aspirin-water. The aspirin whitens whites and also helps to remove perspiration stains.
