Are you feeling kind of crafty? How about creating a pen ‘n’ pencil holder with a little charm? Here are some ideas…

• Use leftover wallpaper or contact paper as tin can (coffee can, soup can) camouflage.

• Dig out from your cellar or purchase a mason jar (available at any store that sells canning supplies). Spray paint it for an old country-store look.

• Grab an old Slinky or order one online. Simply link the ends together so that it sits like a donut. You’ll be reminded of the hours of fun the simple Slinky design provided for you as a child!

Note: Store pens with the points down. They will last longer (and poke you less) than if they’re stored with the points up or lying down in a drawer.
