Emergency Nail File Substitute

0

Did you snag a fingernail with no file in sight? Here’s what to do…

If you’re away from home and really need a nail file, desperate times call for desperate measures—go to the nearest bathroom and file your snagged fingernail on the grout (that’s the usually rough mortar or plaster used between sections of ceramic tile).

If grout is out, then look around for a book of matches (this is usually handy at a bar or restaurant). You can file your nail on the abrasive emery-board–like panel where you strike the match.
