Man, it hurts when you get a bee (or wasp) sting or mosquito (or fly) bite. If you wake up with a painful puffy bump near your eye, you were probably stung (or bitten, depending on the culprit) while you were sleeping. Here’s a soothing remedy for that tender skin near your eye (or anywhere, really) using something you probably have right now—commercial toothpaste! Lightly dab a dime-size amount on the puffy area (be careful not to get any in your eye), and let it sit there till it dries and flakes off on its own (or you have to show your face to the outside world). Repeat again before you go to bed. The swelling should go down within a day or so, and you should feel relief immediately.
