If you store your summer clothes in mothballs (or in any closed-off space that makes your outfits have that storage smell), let them air out for several hours by hanging them outside or in front of an open window or two. Then toss the clothes in a dryer (on a low setting) for about 15 minutes. Add a fabric-softener sheet to freshen the clothes even more, but check the information on the softener box to make sure that the softener won’t stain already-dry clothes.
