Many lighthouses are converting into hotels and bed-and-breakfast resorts as ship navigation becomes electronic. Located on coastlines — frequently rugged ones — they often offer beautiful views and access to nature. Some lighthouses continue to operate while hosting guests, and a few even have guests help tend their beacons.
