It’s spring, the soil is warming up and bulbs are blooming! And if you look in your pantry, you might also have some onions or garlic that are starting to sprout. Don’t feel bad about that—they are bulbs, too, and you can plant them! Put them in a garden if you have one…or just in some free soil outside your back door…or plant them in a flowerpot and place them in a sunny window. Use the green stalks in recipes the same way that you would use scallions.
