A relative of ours recently gave us a loyalty card as a gift. We don’t usually encourage business loyalties (we prefer going where the best deals and service are, even if it’s not the same place again and again)…but times have changed in the form of multitudinous birthday freebies! And by free, we mean just that…you don’t have to buy a thing! You might have to sign up for a loyalty card, or divulge some innocuous personal information on a company’s website, but you get a good hunk of birthday love (and often more) in return. Here’s a list of freebies that sound like deals to us…

International House of Pancakes—Receive a free birthday pancake meal (plus more) when you sign up for IHOP’s Pancake Revolution promotion.

Red Lobster—Rewards Club members can enjoy a free appetizer or dessert just for signing up plus a birthday coupon for meal discounts and more.

Denny’s—Just show up at a participating restaurant on your birthday with a valid ID for a free Denny’s original Grand Slam breakfast!

DSW—Members of the Rewards Program get a birthday gift certificate.

Houlihan’s—Join their E-Mail Club and get $10 off your next visit, plus a free entrée on your birthday.

Aveda—Sign up for Aveda’s Pure Privilege program and get a birthday gift valued at $20.

Old Navy—Birthday Club members receive a free gift on their special day.

Sephora—Get a free birthday present by joining the Beauty Insider program. The gift is different every year. Recent example: Mini NARS lip pencils.

Red Robin—Join Red Robin’s eClub and get a free burger on your birthday.

American Eagle Outfitters—Get 15% off during your entire birthday month.

CVS—Join their ExtraCare Beauty Club and get $3 in ExtraBucks as a gift.

You might want to create a spreadsheet of all these little freebies. You have a busy birthday ahead!
