Many retired people would like to spend some of their time volunteering, but they have no idea where to find opportunities that speak to them. In this video, Adriane Berg, founder of Generation Bold and author of Bottom Line’s Aging for Beginners blog, offers two suggestions for these people. The first is the website VolunteerMatch.com, which shows listings of organizations looking for volunteers. People can go on this site, create a profile with their interests and then find volunteer activities that match these interests. Another opportunity is “voluntourism,” in which people engage in a variety of unique, short-term volunteer activities. These volunteer activities can take place while they are traveling or while close to home. If you want to volunteer, there is somebody out there who needs your help.
