David O. Carpenter, MD, professor of environmental health in the School of Public Health, and director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Dr. Carpenter is the author or coauthor of more than 350 papers and studies that have been published in scientific journals. He is the editor of the book Effects of Persistent and Bioactive Organic Pollutants on Human Health.
