Reisen, PhD, retired University of California, Davis, professor and researcher who spent more than four decades studying mosquitoes around the world, initially as a US Air Force captain and entomologist. The author of 297 peer-reviewed research publications, Reisen has been honored with numerous awards including the John N. Belkin Award for Excellence in Vector Ecology and the Harry Hoogstraal Medal.
