In a recent study at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, researchers found that study participants who watched TV shows that made them laugh burned 20% more calories than nonlaughers. They calculated that laughing for 10 to 15 minutes a day could burn about 50 extra calories. Studies have also shown that laughter activates the immune system, lowers blood pressure and reduces stress hormones. So share a laugh with someone today for good health!
