Arti Hurria, MD, director of the Center for Cancer and Aging, vice provost for clinical faculty and professor in the department of medical oncology and therapeutics research at City of Hope in Duarte, California, co-chair of panel that produced the recommendation for geriatric assessment for cancer patients. Dr. Hurria, who died in 2018, was coauthor of report titled “Practical Assessment and Management of Vulnerabilities in Older Patients Receiving Chemotherapy: ASCO Guideline for Geriatric Oncology,” published in Journal of Clinical Oncology.
