Many people don’t want to live in an assisted-living facility, preferring instead to age in their own homes. In this video, Adriane Berg, founder of Generation Bold and author of Bottom Line’s Aging for Beginners blog, discusses some of the things that can make aging at home easier. First, everything should be accessible on one level of the home and there should be access to the outside. Transportation should also be easily accessible so that you can get around outside the home. Finally, people aging at home need to keep an open mind when it comes to accepting assistance from others. This not only helps with safety but also prevents isolation.
